Elk Grove's Plan for Play

Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Master Plan

The Cosumnes CSD Parks and Recreation Department Master Plan, which is nearing completion, will guide decision-making for parks, recreation programming and facilities over the next 10 years. The document is known as the "Plan for Play" for short.

Over the past year, 2,200 individuals provided input on the future of parks and recreation in Elk Grove. Community members requested more opportunities to connect with neighbors and friends, stay fit, get outdoors and into nature, and participate in activities that emphasize the diversity of Elk Grove.
